The Language of Faith

After the resurrection, Jesus gave His disciples a mandate that echoes all the way back to Genesis: 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.' Be fruitful. Multiply. Fill the earth—not with your own glory, but with Mine.

The Great Commission is the migration mandate renewed. But this time, it's not just about filling the earth with image-bearers. It's about filling the earth with redeemed image-bearers, people who have been reconciled to God through Christ and are now being conformed to His likeness.

And here's the miracle: we can do this. Not because we're capable, but because the same Spirit who fell at Pentecost lives in us. The gospel is the Rosetta Stone that translates across every barrier—language, culture, ethnicity, class. It's the one message that makes sense in every tongue, because it speaks to the universal human condition: we are broken, and Christ makes us whole.

You don't need to be a missionary in a foreign land to live out the Great Commission. You need to be faithful where you are. To speak the language of faith—the language of grace, forgiveness, hope, and love—to the people God has placed in your life. Your neighbor. Your coworker. Your family member who doesn't yet know Jesus.

The mission hasn't changed. The power to fulfill it has been given. The question is: will we go?
