From the sermon Seeking the Lost Sheep
1. Why Did the Shepherd Leave the Ninety-Nine?
Jesus told this story:
'What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.'
Why do you think the shepherd went to find the one lost sheep? Write or draw your answer below.
2. What Makes Heaven Rejoice?
The sermon said God is like the shepherd. He is happiest when one lost person comes back to Him. Luke 15:10 says there is joy before the angels when one person turns back to God.
What do you think the angels do when heaven has a party? Draw or write your ideas.
3. Who Is One Person You Can Be Kind To?
Jesus said, 'See that you do not despise one of these little ones.' That means do not be mean to weak or small people. God watches over every believer.
Who is one person you can show extra kindness to this week? Write their name and draw a picture of you being kind.
4. Can You Find the Lost Toy?
Ask a grown-up to hide a small toy or stuffed animal. Go search every corner until you find it! When you find it, draw a picture of your happy face and the toy.
