Story Time: The Lost Little Sheep

What do you think? If a man has 100 sheep and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the 99 on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the 99 that never went astray. — Matthew 18:12-13

Once there was a shepherd who loved all his sheep. One day, a little sheep wandered away and got lost. The shepherd left all the other sheep safe on the mountain and went to find the one little sheep. When he found it, he was SO happy! He picked it up and carried it home.

Jesus is like that shepherd. He loves YOU so much. Even when you make mistakes or wander away, Jesus comes looking for you because you are special to Him!

Let's Move Like Sheep!

Let's pretend we are little sheep! Get down on your hands and knees and say 'Baa! Baa!' Now crawl around like you are wandering away. Oh no! Now stop — the Good Shepherd found you! Stand up and jump for joy because Jesus loves you!

A Question Just for You

Does Jesus love you even when you make mistakes?

(The answer is YES! Jesus always loves you!)

Draw a Picture
