The law is like a mirror that you can look into and you can see that your tie is Askew or your shirts not button or whatever the case may be. It reveals something so that you become more self aware than you were before.
Scripture · Rom.3.20
For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
Reflect and pray
The law was never meant to be a ladder we climb to reach God, but a mirror that exposes our need for grace. When we truly look into God's commands, we see not our righteousness but our failure. This is not meant to crush us, but to humble us and drive us to Christ. Today, ask God to use his Word to show you where you fall short—not to condemn you, but to deepen your dependence on his grace. Thank him that Jesus fulfilled what you never could.
