From the sermon Wealth: Help or Hindrance?

Story Time

A man had lots of gold. He loved his gold very much. Jesus said it is easier for a big camel to fit through a tiny needle than for that man to enter heaven. But Jesus also said, 'With God, all things are possible.' God can help us love Him more than our stuff.

Jesus said, 'It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.' The disciples asked, 'Who then can be saved?' Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.' — Matthew 19:24-26

Motion Time

Make a tiny circle with your fingers for the needle's eye. Now make a big camel hump with your arms. Shout it out: God can do impossible things!

Question

Do you love Jesus more than your favorite toy?

Color Time

Draw a picture of a camel beside a tiny needle, and remember that God can do what seems impossible.
