Where is this going to happen? Verse 17 And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the 12 disciples aside on the way and said to them, see, we're going up to Jerusalem. This is the key. Jerusalem is the key.

And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,
Reflect and pray
Jesus set his face toward Jerusalem, knowing that betrayal, suffering, and death awaited him there. He did not avoid the place of pain; he walked directly into it because that was the Father's will. As you reflect on this verse, consider the deliberate love that carried Jesus to the cross. He was not surprised by suffering; he chose it for the joy set before him. Ask God to help you follow Christ with that same resolute trust, especially when obedience leads toward hard places rather than away from them.
