Have this mind in yourselves, or have this mindset, or be like Jesus in this particular way of being willing to serve others, doing nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, counting others as more significant than yourselves.

Reflect and pray
Selfish ambition and vain conceit are silent thieves that rob us of Kingdom greatness. They train our eyes inward, convincing us that our agenda, our recognition, and our comfort matter most. Paul calls us to a different mindset: the same attitude that propelled Jesus toward the cross. Counting others more significant does not mean pretending they are flawless; it means choosing to value their good above your own preference. This is the daily work of humility. Ask the Lord to expose any hidden conceit, and to give you the grace to serve others with the same genuine love Christ showed you.
