From the sermon Seeing, Although Blind
From the sermon
Jesus in pity touched their eyes immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.

And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight, and they followed him.
Reflect and pray
The text says Jesus acted in pity, not annoyance or obligation. His touch restored what was broken immediately, and the result was not merely healed eyes but devoted followers. Mercy received becomes mission embraced. As you reflect on this verse, thank Jesus for the compassion He has shown you, and consider how receiving His mercy leads naturally to following Him. Ask that your own heart would respond to His kindness with faithful obedience, walking where He leads because you have seen His goodness.
