Open Our Eyes

Wednesday · Anchor: Matt.20.33

From the sermon Seeing, Although Blind

From the sermon

And stopping, Jesus called to them and said, What do you want me to do for you? They said to him, Lord, let our eyes be opened.

Scripture · Matt.20.33

They said to him, 'Lord, let our eyes be opened.'

Reflect and pray

Jesus stopped and asked what they wanted, even though their need seemed obvious. He invites us to be honest and specific in our requests, not because He is unaware, but because He wants us to bring our burdens directly to Him. 'Lord, let our eyes be opened' is a prayer for physical healing and spiritual sight alike. What do you need Jesus to do for you today? Name it before Him, trusting that He listens with patience and compassion to every sincere plea.
